last to last year the army had to actually start campaigns on tv, print, electronic media to encourage ppl to join the army….thats the current state today….people feel better off as engineers….IITans…doctors…etc etc.

Army is personally one of my fav professions. And like many Indians, I too feel thankful to them for all they have done for us. As for the corruption part, ’tis sad but as u say, dere is gud n bad in everything but that is not to say it cant be changed… Most of us have indulged in some or the other form of corruption once in a while and many of our respected elders do so pseudo-officially and as they say: little drops fill up the sea (a hindi saying actually, but wat the heck!).

exactly…n money isn’t everything. as long as u don’t go hungry and have a roof on ur head. i mean, v guys go on n on bout ipods n laptops n cellphones but do v really need dese things. just gizmos.. i’d rather have a proffesion which makes me proud and gives me job satisfaction rather dan a proffesion dat just ‘pays’!!
