Hi. I am from India too. I am on Vodafone. I have connected my vodafone number to my profile by choosing the "Other Carriers". I am able to update my status msg using my phone.
However, I also own a company and I created a Facebook page for the company. I have another vodafone number for the company. I tried associating this company phone to the Facebook page. But i am not able to add posts to the wall of the company Facebook page.
Also, I logged on to my personal id, went to the company FB page and clicked on Subscribe via sms option after becoming a fan of the company. I even got the confirmation sms from FB etc. But when I log in to the company id and type a post on the wall (on the computer, not thru sms), i dont get an update on my personal phone which is subscribing to this FB page.
Pls help

NO LONGER WORKS.

As FB have now changed the entire METHOD they use for this.

So now, instead of entering your number on the website, and them then sending YOU a text activation code, YOU now have to send a text DIRECT YOURSELF from your phone, to a special number to start this process.

And if you are on an Unsupported Network (such as T-Mobile UK for just one example), then this will not work, as the Shortcode you need to SEND a special message to, isn’t supported.

There is now no way to trigger Facebook sending YOU the code – you have to start this process direct on your phone now by sending a special message to THEM.

You can’t even fiddle this by sending a picture to the mobile upload email address, which DOES trigger a code sent from Facebook to you, as that code is not properly recognised, if you instead try to cheat and use it for Mobile Text sign up.

In fact in fairness, the code does NOTHING at all.

So for now, if you are on an Unsupported Carrier, there seems to be NO WAY of now working around this.

Well, this is just a trick so will have varying results. I am on !dea here and it magically works! It does get a little annoying though; receiving SMSs the entire day notifying you of what’s happening on FB.

dude, I tried it as soon as I saw the settings i guess a week back, i did receive the code, activated it but I can not send sms to the damn number, it failes, moreover, I am already being spammed on my cell phones by all kind of advertisers
